8 Innocent Things Made Horribly Filthy With Needless Censorship

6. The Count

Sesame Street's Count von Count always seemed like a bit of a strange character, not least because of his vampire tendencies or his love of mathematics. In this we see the frustrated side of the mash up of Nosferatu and Pythagoras, and his love of ****ing everything. It's not as if he hasn't had a string of Countess girlfriends, including Countess von Backwards, whom he asked for marriage countless times, or the Countess Dahling von Dahling, who he tries to impress with mathematical prowess. Since the video's publication in 2008, it has amassed a huge 14 million views, and over 100,000 likes. To turn an educator into a sexually frustrated, single vampire is quite an achievement. If this video shows nothing else, then it'd be the amount that the Count loves to count, although the message may have been lost in translation. Sesame St. has been around for 45 years and had a major scandal or two, but if this had been aired, with the bleeps alone it could have lead to some further apprehensions on letting their children watch the show. As vampire sketches go, even with the censoring it's still better than certain recent vampire films, without naming any names. Sesame Street was intended to help children to learn and this video will help adults make it more bearable, while watching it they can imagine what the Count would rather be doing instead of helping Bert and Ernie count their sheep.
