Universal Parks have never shied away from using new technology in their attractions.

Volcano Bay opened this year with a flurry of brand new technology. TapuTapu is a wristband that allows you to reserve a place in line for slides, you can access your locker and even attach a credit card to pay for your lunch. The TapuTapu also interacts with the environment around you.

Another recent technological advance was the introduction of Virtual Line for Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. Guests can either book a return time using the Universal Orlando App or at a kiosk in front of the attraction.

With Super Nintendo World promising to bring immersive environments that we've never seen before, I'm certain that we can expect brand new technology. Recent patents filled by Universal suggest that the rides coming to this new land are going to be like nothing we've seen before.
