Star Wars: 9 Secrets Of The Ghost Ship You Need To Know
4. It Was Built By The Same Manufacturer That Made The Millennium Falcon
It turns out that two of the most notable ships ever to be flown by the heroes of Star Wars were both built by the exact same in-universe manufacturer.
That's right, the same Corellian Engineering Corporation that ultimately built Han Solo's iconic YT-1300 light freighter actually built Hera Syndulla's own VCX-100 light freighter, too.
The CEC were also the organisation behind everything from the Baleen-class heavy freighter seen in the sequel trilogy, CR90 corvette used by Leia Organa, ion engines, and even escape pods in this galaxy.
And if the Ghost's aforementioned VCX-100 model name rings a bell, it's likely because everyone's favourite smuggler actually bluffed that he owned one of those very Corellian ships during a game of Sabacc with Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Strangely enough, that wouldn't be the last time Solo discussed this particular type of freighter from Corellia either.
