10 Star Trek Timelines That Were Erased

8. The Enterprise Of Yesteryear

When the Enterprise-C responded to the distress call from Narendra III, they found themselves thrown twenty years into a possible future. That future was erased, but it also happens to be one of the more confusing, temporally speaking, entries on this list.

Had the ship never entered that distortion, then presumably Captain Rachel Garrett would have perished during the fight. Though some survivors may still have been brought back to Romulus for questioning, the legacy of the battle would have been the building blocks of peace with the Klingon Empire.

Instead, Garrett is killed in this alternate future, leaving Lt. Richard Castillo in command. Lt. Tasha Yar of the Enterprise-D returns with the ship to aid them in their fight, leading, of course, to the eventual birth of Sela. Though, by and large, the legacy of the battle remained the same - peace was achieved with the Klingons, thus that future never came to pass - Yar's existence in the past, as well as Sela's existence in the present, confirm that this timeline was both erased and retained via her bloodline.

This is a contender for the most wibbly wobbly entry today.
