10 Abandoned Game Of Thrones Plot Threads We Really Miss

Memories of the younger Stark brother might be vague now, and it's not surprising given that he disappeared so quickly. He was the First Ranger of the Night's Watch back in Season 1. When Jon came to the Wall, Benjen was really the only person he knew. Then one day Benjen left the Wall and he never returned.

This is probably something that's going to be important, or at least it seems like it must be. He disappeared in a very mysterious way, with his horse returning without him and then with two of the rangers that were with him being found dead. Jeor Mormont promised Jon they'd figure out what happened and find Benjen Stark, but obviously they never did. 

So where is he? What happened to him? 

This is another plot thread with an insane amount of fan theories surrounding it. At one point in the books, a mysterious character named Coldhands accompanies Bran and Rickon, and many readers have speculated that this is actually Benjen Stark.

But Coldhands was cut from the show, so if that's the case, will the show just never resolve this? No matter what, this is one of those things that was left open that we absolutely need some sort of resolution on before the series ends.
