9. Jeff Garlin - The Goldbergs
Jeff Garlin insists that he was not fired from The Goldbergs, but his removal allegedly was more of a pre-emptive strike. The comic left the ABC sitcom while under investigation for his coarse behaviour on set.
Garlin was reportedly handsy on set, hugging co-stars and production staff whether they were comfortable with the physical contact or not. Staff on The Goldbergs also accused Garlin of abusing them verbally.
Garlin denies everything, blaming political correctness instead. Before leaving the show he publicly aired his grievances, performing a standup routine where he lampooned The Goldbergs set for being too stuffy compared to the edgier more "fun" set of Curb Your Enthusiasm. He talked of how much he hated The Goldbergs and said he only starred in for nine years because of the money.
As a result, Garlin left The Goldbergs towards the end of filming in December. The Goldbergs’ ninth season is currently on a winter hiatus and will return in January, where Garlin will still feature thanks to filming already being complete. What happens after that remains a mystery.
