10 Amazing Sci-Fi TV Shows You Need To Stop Sleeping On
6. DC's Legends Of Tomorrow
Legends of Tomorrow has never been given the respect it deserved.
Originally envisioned as a time-travel fantasy epic for the Arrowverse's most popular B-heroes and villains, it failed to win over fans in the beginning with its serious tone and boring villain. So the writers, bless their souls, listened to the feedback and reinvented the show for its second season, transforming it into an wackier, edgier and more exaggerated piece of pop-culture.
Though it doesn't shy away from serious material, the beauty about Legends is that it never feels the need to take itself too seriously, and so every adventure that the time-travelling crew of outcasts and misfits face is one enjoyable hoot after the next.
The personification of pure entertainment, the titular heroes consist of a resurrected assassin, two convicted arsonists, a scientist-turned-hero that accidentally made himself small, a professor and a mechanic who merge to create a nuclear man, a foul-mouthed warlock, a shapeshifter and even a speedster throughout the course of the show's run. And they all have a blast as they mess things up for the better.
Crossovers aside, Legends does its own thing away from the other Arrowverse shows and it's all the better for it. Seriously, it's genius.
