10 Amazing TV Shows That Became Unwatchable

Netflix struck gold with Stranger Things in 2016. It had the eerie, creepy vibe of a classic horror flick, the kids paired with the likes of David Harbour and Winona Ryder were adorable and cute, and it was all fuelled by '80s nostalgia.

The show absolutely took over the world and was one of the most popular TV properties on the planet for years. However, as with many things, there has been a steady decline, and a lot of it comes down to the fact that audiences just don't care anymore.

After the first three seasons aired within a four-year span, there was a huge gap of three years between seasons three and four, not to mention the latter being split into two parts. Now there has been another three-year wait for season five, and only for the first part, not even the whole thing.

Viewers can't be expected to remember what happened the last time Stranger Things came to screens back in 2022, and with each episode now running at roughly 90 minutes on average, and two-and-a-half-hours at its longest, any kind of rewatch is going to be an absolute slog. Add in the fact that the children are no longer children, an issue that season two of Wednesday will also face when it finally airs, the shine just isn't there for Stranger Things anymore. Even David Harbour wants the thing to end.
