10 Amazing TV Shows That Became Unwatchable

7. Parks And Recreation

How I Met Your Mother
NBC

Parks and Recreation almost feels like the exact opposite of How I Met Your Mother, in that every single major character is loveable. Even the ones like Ben and Chris (Adam Scott and Rob Lowe), who were initially introduced as antagonists of sorts, were ultimately beloved by their audience.

There was literally no weak link, and driven by Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope, Parks and Rec was wickedly funny, it was uplifting and wholesome, and even in a time when the mockumentary format was being done to death, it still felt fresh.

The show had a great run for six seasons, but there can be no denying that it stumbled at its seventh and final chapter. Time jumps are always tricky, and while they didn't work for the likes of New Girl or Brooklyn Nine-Nine either, Parks and Rec's was arguably the worst.

With season seven being set three years after season six, pretty much every character changed, dynamics changed, and the series lost a lot of what made it great. Of course, the biggest crime was pitting Ron (Nick Offerman) and Leslie against each other after six years of them being one of the greatest duos in American sitcom history, and though they were back on the same page just a handful of episodes later, the damage had already been done.
