10 Awful Seasons That Killed Great TV Shows

6. Prison Break – Season 2

Heroes Season 2
Fox

When Prison Break was about the prison break, it was great. Season one of the show was tense, fulfilling and exciting as we followed Michael Schofield in his plan to get his wrongfully imprisoned brother out of jail - which he achieved.

Once the prison aspect was behind them, the show lost its 'edge of your seat' addictiveness and the very excitement that got us hooked in the first place. The plot progressed from the claustrophobia of prison to showing convicts on the run and the brothers' personalities growing once out in the free world. The writers still took risks, brought in new characters and tried to fill the episodes with death and tension, however it just didn't live up to what it once was. Prison Break saw a 20% decline in viewership between the first and second season finale as people lost investment in the story.

One things for sure though, Prison Break season one is still an all time great piece of TV. The entire show though? Not so much.
