10 Awful Seasons That Killed Great TV Shows
7. Heroes – Season 2
The first season of Heroes was one heck of a ride. With consistent excitement and satisfying reveals, we followed a group of ordinary people discovering that they have super powers.
Despite the wild twist and turns that ran throughout the initial episodes, the season ended like a damp squib and never quite picked itself back up again. It was clear that the writers had thrown every trick in the book into the first season making it wondrous and thrilling, they bombarded viewers with constant excitement that it couldn't maintain. Season two of Heroes was sporadic, slow moving and dull, full of stories packed with predictability and filler.
Season two was doomed from the start and by the end there was very little anyone wanted to come back for, thus one of the best premises in TV fell into a sad two year decline. This is a classic tale of writing the first season like you'd never get the opportunity to write another.
