10 Most Badass Characters In TV History

5. Daenerys Targaryen - Game Of Thrones

When we are first introduced to Daenerys she is a slave to her despicable brother, Viserys. We see him fawn over her naked body in a disturbing scene, as he decides whether she is good enough for her intended husband, thus granting him his wish of gaining a Dothraki army. It is a misleading introduction as it appears that Daenerys is going to fall into the unfortunate trend of female characters who simply serve as eye candy. These worries are quickly shattered however when we see her devour a horse heart at the behest of her hubby to be. You can see her transformation begin in this one scene, as she starts to embrace the new life that had been thrust upon her. Instead of becoming a slave to her husband's sexual desires, Daenerys forges her own role within the Dothraki tribe and, in the process, becomes the most badass character on the show. After her husband's death at the end of Season 1, Daenerys proceeds to recruit a huge army of her own in an effort to reclaim the throne that she believes is rightfully hers, with her trump card being the fact that she has dragons on her side. Oh, I didn't mention that? Yeah, she can control dragons. Need I say more? Most Badass Moment Daenerys comes face to face with a slave trader who has a vast army, named the Unsullied, at his disposal. Daenerys proceeds to negotiate the freedom of all his slaves in exchange for a dragon. Seems like a fair deal - until Daenerys reminds him, and us, that dragons answer only to her. We are then treated to a fanstastic scene of retribution as Daenerys orders the Unsullied to kill their previous masters and the dragon, Drogon, burns the slave master alive. A fitting end, and a reminder that Daenerys is not a woman to be messed with.
