2. House Of Cards - Shock From The Me Too Movement

The Me Too movement changed Hollywood for good. For years, the entertainment industry hid their darkest secrets because they didn't want their world to change. But thankfully in October of 2017, the tides changed. The New York Times published a story exposing one of Hollywood's biggest producers with stories from countless victims and, from there, everything changed. It seemed like every day a new story was coming out about a toxic man in Hollywood, and people were finally waking up.

One of the MANY men that were finally being held accountable was none other than Kevin Spacey - star of the hit drama House of Cards. Anthony Rapp, star of Rent, revealed in an interview that Spacey made advances towards him when he was just 14 years old and, unlike many stars who were outed during the movement, Spacey chose not to apologise. He instead tried to change the story by coming out as gay and garner sympathy, which of course enraged the LGBTQ+ community.

After that, countless men shared their horror stories about Spacey. So Spacey then tried the mental health route to get off easy, having his publicist come out and say he was "seeking evaluation and treatment". After that, Netflix had had enough, they terminated their contract with Spacey and set out to continue producing the show minus his character.

Although it was the right choice, Netflix clearly didn't know what to do after this and the show suffered dramatically due to its new character dynamics... and the fact that people couldn't watch the show without thinking about Spacey's horrific acts. Another show that should have been left on the chopping block.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
