5. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Star Wars has been capturing the hearts of science fiction lovers for generations now, with several movies, trilogies, spin-off series, video games and comic books being expanded out of the franchise. It is a global phenomenon and one of the greatest achievements within the epic space drama is the computer-animated Clone Wars series.
Taking place between the prequel films Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, this exhilarating show is a great exploration of several characters, from Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker.
Furthermore, it introduced brand new roles into universe, such as Asajj Ventress and Ahsoka Tano, who were so well written, that they easily found their place in the fictional Star Wars universe.
Naturally, the Clones Wars series lived up to the films in terms of epic battles, rich mythology, clever twists and foreshadowing, and plenty of action. It may have been unfairly cancelled with its sixth season, but we were thankfully given a revival which tied up everything nicely and made The Clones Wars a gem of a series within the Star Wars franchise.
