10 Best Anime ONLY On Netflix

4. Beastars

What do you get when you take Zootopia and inject more sex and violence? I'm personally not sure but it would doubtless look something akin to Beastars.

Beastars is a story about the base impulses that drive human nature - translated through the metaphor of a society where animals are the humans of this world - and how no matter how hard we fight those impulses, they always find a way to worm themselves into our lives and society.

The brilliant ways in which Beastars shows how this world is similar to ours and yet STARKLY different is truly something to behold. We're just in season 1 and already you feel like you know everything about this world and how people operate within it. It also takes into account the various defense mechanisms and social behaviors of animals and cleverly inserts them into the narrative for either world building or equally clever subversion.

Also this might just be the only anime opening out there made entirely from stop motion animation and I feel we should appreciate that more.
