10 Best Buffy The Vampire Slayer Villains

Buffy has faced a lot of terrifying bad guys, from soulless vampires to debilitating fear demons, from demons that haunt dreams to animalistic goblins and an evil government corporation, but Glory (Clare Kramer) remains one of her most out-the-box opponents. Glory is a god, all-powerful and malevolent, hoping to open a demon hell dimension and rule over the world.

This might make her sound somewhat generic a bad guy, but thanks to Kramer's energetic performance and Glory's ability to beat the likes of Buffy and Willow in a fight, she is so much more than a "I'm going to end the world" villain. She's charismatic, narcissistic, and arrogant, and she's able to be at once hilarious and terrifying.

She beats Buffy in their first encounter, tortures Spike (a recurring theme for the vampire) and has little problem with killing Dawn (Michelle Trachtenberg) in order to fulfil her villainous quest. She spends her run almost unstoppable, too, until Buffy hits her in the face with a big hammer, and everything leading up to season five's finale was simply divine because of her.
