10 Best Episodes Of The Good Place

4. Janet(s) - S3 E.10

The Good Place Bad Place Rhonda, Diana, Jake, And Trent
NBC

This award winning episode is brilliant in so many ways, from its ingenious premise, flawless CGI design and resolution of the show's major romantic subplot. But what makes this episode work so well is the brilliant acting of D'Arcy Carden, who does an amazing job portraying no less than six different characters.

The action begins with Michael and the four humans all transporting into Janet's void. But due to their 'deaths' on Earth, each human now looks just like Janet! Carden brings all the characters to life in a powerhouse comedic performance while also portraying the roles of Good Janet and the hilariously bland 'Medium Janet'.

The episode beautifully fuses the comedy, romance and philosophical aspects of the show with the acting first rate throughout. Apart from Carden, Ted Danson anchors the show superbly again while Stephen Merchant's portrayal of the chief accountant is bang on. Discussions about the point value of a Lord of the Rings themed wedding is priceless.

The 'crude humour' in this episode is the real comic treat, with the introduction of accountant 'Matt', who requests an update on his suicide request rather than being stuck with the job of documenting all new sex acts. Gold!
