All round, season six is probably the strongest season. It introduces a new dynamic of a love interest for Rodney in Cassandra and the new element of an overarching storyline that leads to their engagement and wedding.
This episode comes early in that development when Rodney is trying to woo her as best as he knows how, while getting roped into Del's latest money-making scheme: dolls. But not just any dolls much to their horror. The reveal of the inflatable dolls is funny enough, but that build-up of leaking gas followed by the fully inflated models popping up from behind the bar is one of the biggest laughs in the show.
Unable to shift them to a back-alley adult shop, Denzil discovers they were fitted with propane gas canisters and it's a race against time before they're blown to kingdom come.
In the episode it's nice to see Rodney prioritise his own activities over Del's get-rich-quick ideas but his facial expressions when he finds out about the dolls is priceless, as is Uncle Albert's clueless reaction to them. Some of the biggest laughs came from the sixth season with this episode in particular being a standout.
