10 Best Performances In Scrubs

8. Michael J. Fox

It took two episodes, but sitcom veteran and all-round Hollywood legend Michael J. Fox didn't need long to prove his salt as a worthy addition to Scrubs. He played Dr Kevin Casey, a brilliant doctor and surgeon who struggled with severe OCD and spent a short while working at Sacred Heart.

In the role, Fox was at first incredibly funny, with the OCD played for laughs, with his one-sided rivalries with Cox and Turk also bringing some solid laughs. But in a shock twist, the whole thing was turned on its head, and JD finds Casey two hours after his last surgery, repeatedly washing his hands and breaking down over his life-changing condition.

It's a powerful turn, switching Casey's easy comedy chops for one of the most impressive scenes in the entire show. In his final episode on the show, he tries to face his fears of using an outside toilet, and once more Fox brings the humour without fault. He may not have been around for long, but he left quite the impression.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
