10 Best Performances In Scrubs

4. Ken Jenkins

I'm going to go out on a limb and say something really bold about Ken Jenkins: He had the toughest job on the show. The reason for this is simple - he was the bad guy. Dr Kelso was cold, cruel, occasionally crass and indifferent to those around him. But he was still somehow hilarious, and it was clear from the get-go there was more to him than met the eye.

Kelso had the hardest job in the hospital, too. Though the other characters didn't like his decisions a lot of the time, as the show wore on it became clear he was always doing everything in his power to keep the hospital to its highest standard. Even if that meant stabbing some people in the back along the way.

The Chief of Medicine was a complex beast, but was clearly a good person underneath his bitter and cynical shell. Jenkins made for a great antagonist, but still played Kelso as a good man at heart. A tough balancing act, but one the actor executed with no issues.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
