10 Best Performances In The Walking Dead
1. Andrew Lincoln - Rick Grimes
Giving one of TV's best performances, Andrew Lincoln is without question the strongest performer to ever grace The Walking Dead. Though he's no longer around, his Season One to Season Nine growth from moral police officer to harsh group leader to community head was nothing short of mesmerising.
At once endearing, terrifying, tragic and morally ambiguous, Rick Grimes was always going to be a tough character to play. With enough emotional baggage to scare off any other sane person, Lincoln took on the challenge with confidence, bravado and passion and managed to knock it out of the park with every scene, whether the show around him was working or not.
Through the show, Lincoln had to act as a grieving husband, a grieving father, a new father, a strong leader, a capable fighter, a hero, a villain, and everything in-between, but that never stopped him from being the best actor on screen.
Lincoln made the show very much his own thanks to his commitment and explosive acting style, and though the show is still on pretty solid ground, there's no denying that his presence is still much missed within the fandom.
