1. The Mandalorian
It's hard to even think about The Mandalorian without getting flashes of Baby Yoda. But while the undeniably adorable creature has indeed become something of a pop culture phenomenon, that shouldn't take away from the quality of Disney Plus' most talked-about original series.
A spin-off of the legendary Star Wars franchise, the show follows a lone Mandalorian named Din Djarin who essentially wants to make it to the New Republic. However, when the typically morally-questionable bounty hunter crosses paths with 'The Child' (that's what we're calling him now), his path in life, the show and just about everything really is altered dramatically, kicking off an adventure that is nothing short of must-watch.
A unique entry in the classic franchise - that doesn't actually require you to have seen all the Star Wars film prior to it - The Mandalorian stands alone as a gripping space Western that has no problem keeping viewers enthralled, and Pedro Pascal does a phenomenal job of bringing the bounty hunter to life without ever having to show his face.
It quickly became Disney Plus' biggest-selling point (and considering it already had a lot of them, that's saying something), and it's set to return to the streaming service for a second season in October of this year.
