10 Best Star Trek: Enterprise Episodes Not About The Main Cast
8. Rajiin
Rajiin is another mixed episode in terms of quality, though it is an important one for the overall arc. An alien spy, Rajiin, comes aboard Enterprise, tasked with gaining as much information as possible on the crew. She starts by putting Archer in a trance, stealing some of his bio-data. She later seeks out and overpowers T'Pol as well.
The episode quite fairly received criticism for the way it utilized female sexuality in the name of the plot. While Rajiin does express some remorse at the deceptions she plays on the crew, she is in effect a geisha who is following her master's orders. Her master, in this case, is the Xindi Reptiilians.
While the episode itself is far from perfect, Nikita Ager is excellent as Rajiin and the conclusion of the episode sees the Xindi Council now in possession of human DNA, thanks to her visit with Archer. This DNA will prove vital in the season to come. It's an important episode, perhaps not one of the best, yet a perfect example of how a guest of the week can have a long-lasting impact on the show.
