10 Best Star Trek: Enterprise Episodes Not About The Main Cast

7. Cease Fire

Star Trek Cease Fire

The conflict between the Vulcans and the Andorians was simmering away during the first and second seasons of Enterprise, though it is during this episode that it truly comes to a head. Both races are now fighting over a planet that they both lay claim to, with Shran leading one side and Soval representing the other.

The guest stars are outstanding in this episode. Jeffrey Combs, Gary Graham, and Suzie Plakson are all at their best, fighting for the side they truly believe is right. It is also an essential episode to show that Soval is slowly starting to warm toward Archer and Starfleet, thanks to the Captain saving his life during a firefight with some rogue Andorians.

Combs, as ever, is on top form as the Andorian Commander, though he is faced with a dilemma when his second-in-command, played by Plakson, chooses to continue the fight over the agreed cessation of hostilities. While the brewing war between Vulcan and Andor would raise its head again in the fourth season, this seems to, for the moment at least, be the episode that helped them lay down arms, and come to understand each other.
