10 Best Star Trek: Enterprise Episodes Not About The Main Cast

Star Trek Degra
CBS

In an attempt to gain as much information on the Xindi, and their superweapon, Captain Archer comes up with a plan of kidnapping the scientist Degra and convincing the man that all is not as it seems to be. The episode is technically a bottle show, yet Randy Oglesby gets his chance to truly shine here.

Stuck in the simulator with Archer, Degra is slowly convinced that he has been in an Insectoid Prison with the human for the past three years. They are both suffering from amnesia, caused by the treatment they've received. The plan works swimmingly, including Degra giving up the location of the weapon itself until he notices a malfunction in one of the screens surrounding the shuttle.

In many ways, the episode is a two-hander, but what it really gives is serial guest-star Oglesby a chance to show why Star Trek kept bringing him back, time after time. Degra will be his most recognizable role in Star Trek to date, but like Jeffrey Combs, he has played many different faces throughout the franchise. This may be the most time we spend with any one of them, making it essential viewing for both understanding the motivations of the Xindi, and of Degra himself.
