The great thing with this episode is that it feels much more like a true finale than the actual one that aired. The beginning of the end at the time revolved around the whole Reach vs. Light storyline that was resolved when Aqualad revealed the latter’s deceptions and put everyone’s secrets out in the open.

Both villainous teams realize they’ve been infiltrated with moles from their respective enemies. Aqualad unveils he is a double agent along with Artemis who is pretending to be Tigress. The two reveal they’ve been working with their original team the entire time.

Summit also has some of Young Justice’s best fight scenes to date. After the reveal, a series of battles occur, and the heroes defeat a number of villains before reuniting. There is also a significant moment between Aqualad and Black Manta - his father - about his son's betrayal. At long last, Manta knows where Aqualad officially stands in the realm of right and wrong, and it helps cement Kaldur as one of the show's greatest characters in the process.
