10 Big Time Actors Who Are Way Better On TV

5. Zachary Quinto

Zachary Quinto should be given his own movie. After jumping to the big screen, he's overlooked as a talent and often it seems, is cast more for his mix of dark handsomeness but slight other-worldliness.

On The Big Screen:

His film career is still young, but it's gathering pace, with several projects already in post-production. The franchise people will recognise him in though, is Star Trek, which was a tough franchise to resurrect.

J.J. Abrams did a darn good job behind the camera, and Chris Pine is a worthy Kirk, but it's all for nothing if Kirk doesn't have his dear friend in the form of Spock. And thanks to Quinto, that balance was achieved, but not with the same aplomb as his  most famous small screen role.

In Your Living Room:

Ok, Heroes isn't exactly the greatest TV show of all time, but it had promise. The first series was seriously good stuff, but you can almost see the drop off in quality mid-way through the second season, from where it spiralled.

But while other characters get boring, Sylar retains a satisfying insanity. There's a wit and hunger to him that Quinto nails. His film career wouldn't have started if it weren't for his Sylar.

Best TV Moment:

Sylar nonchalantly strolls in to an ordinary elevator, complete with cheesy music. He's bathed in blood. Another day at the office.
