10 Biggest Feuds In Doctor Who History

5. Christopher Eccleston V John Barrowman

John Barrowman will forever be known to Whovians as Captain Jack Harkness, the immortal time agent who finally returned to Doctor Who in 2021 festive special, Resolution of the Daleks. He debuted on the show in the first season of the revival, working closely with Christopher Eccleston. According to Barrowman, it was not a fantastic experience.

Chris was always grumpy. You don't always have to be intense. There comes a point when intensity makes you miserable - I think that was the case with Chris

In the same interview, he went on to describe that he much preferred working with David Tennant, who he found to be more upbeat and outgoing that his predecessor. Though Barrowman only periodically appeared in Doctor Who, with far more appearances in the spin-off series Torchwood, the bulk of his time was spent with the Tenth Doctor.

But I just wouldn't go to the pub with him [Eccleston]. On the other hand, David's been to my house, we went to the Madonna concert with our partners - we socialise together. He's a lot more fun.
