10 Biggest WTF Doctor Who Moments

4. Space Pig! (Aliens Of London)

After resurrecting Doctor Who in 2005, Russell T Davies wasted no time in exploring the stranger side of time and space, as proven by this iconic moment from the first two-parter in NuWho history.

Aliens of London kicks off with a huge spaceship crashing into the Thames. The Ninth Doctor immediately sets off to investigate, and finds more than he bargained for when he does.

After sneaking into a UNIT facility where the alien body is being housed, he soon finds that the creature isn't only still alive, but that it isn't an alien at all.

The "pilot" of the craft was actually a regular old Earth pig modified by extra-terrestrial tech. That's weird enough as it is, but things get even weirder when the little oinker starts running around on its hind legs while the Doctor chases after it.

Look at its little legs go! It's actually quite adorable, isn't it?

Sadly though, things don't end well for Astro-Pig when it's gunned down by an understandably baffled UNIT soldier. Wait, did Doctor Who actually make us emotional about a pig in a spacesuit? What a show.
