8. Rocky Horror Picture Show References
Episode: Anne, Band Candy (Buffy, Season 3) The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an absolute classic, and there's no question that it influenced Buffy somewhat with it's campy, creepy style. Still acted out live by fans to this day, if Rocky Horror was a show, it would have been the Buffy of its time. So it's no surprise that Buffy's producers dropped in several nods to the classic film, a couple of which appeared in the third season of the show. In the season opener, "Anne," wayward Sunnydale vampire groupie Lily is seen wearing a shirt the references the movie in a roundabout way, as her semi-visible shirt reads "Dent" "Home of" - a nod to "Denton - The Home of Happiness," a billboard seen in Rocky Horror. Then in Band Candy, Buffy actually quotes "Lets do the time warp again" - though it's a throwaway line. The t-shirt is the real easter egg for eagle-eyed viewers.
