10 Cancelled TV Shows That Totally Deserve A Ripper Street Resurrection

8. Shooting Stars

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer created Shooting Stars back in 1993 and it's lasted for a total of eight series. The show was famous for its surreal comedy and slapstick humour. With completely nonsensical rounds like the Dove From Above and absurd sketches there€™s never been anything like it in the panel show realm before. The show wasn€™t above poking fun at their celebrity guests either. Whether they were subjected to a barrage of jokes and outrageous requests there was always plenty of fun to be had. Even the team that won the quiz wasn€™t safe, as the prize was a final bonus round. Examples have included being slapped in the face with bacon or having an old man€™s beard rubbed on your face. When it comes down to it though, the show was all about having a good laugh. Panel shows are notoriously cheap to make so a reviving of the Shooting Stars shouldn€™t pose too much of a risk for a company like Amazon or Netflix. The low investment needed means that even if it didn€™t prove successful they wouldn€™t lose out significantly. Besides which we are certain there are plenty of people who would be happy to see Vic and Bob back on our screens.
