6. Spongebob - Old Man Jenkins
The extra character of Old Man Jenkins is more of an idea than a specific role, as his appearances have always been so vastly different and feature other members of what seems to be a long line of Jenkins. But this is precisely what makes the extra so funny and loveable.
Spongebob is again no stranger to creating great jokes in the background of the show to help flesh out the world of Bikini Bottom. There are a few small details that appear throughout the series (one that we will, of course, be getting to later) that give it some wonderfully humorous recurring jokes.
Old Man Jenkins is a name that pops up a fair few times in the silly cartoon, with the appearance of some grumpy older man often following. Although he always looks different, his appearance plays to the same joke of having a pleasant laugh at the older generation.
