No we still havent forgotten about the most controversial Simpsons episode ever! In The Principal and the Pauper Seymour Skinner is revealed to be an imposter named Armin Tamzarian when the real Skinner shows up after going missing and presumed dead in Vietnam. Fans were furious that a character who had been an established part of the series for nine seasons, would suddenly turn out to be a fraud, and that the Skinner we all knew and loved, was actually a fake. Even worse was the ending where this gargantuan revelation (which would cause a major shakeup on any other show and possibly change the course of the entire series) was swept under the rug by the end of the episode in one of the worst endings ever. After the real Skinner (voiced by Martin Sheen) turned out to be a jerk, the town decided they wanted the old Skinner back and convinced him to return whereupon Judge Snyder legally named him Seymour Skinner and decreed that everything will go back the way it was before any of this happened. And no one will speak of this again under penalty of torture. Apart from incredibly weak writing, the episode essentially sent the message that identity theft is perfectly fine if you like the other guy better. And that a mother is happy to let a town deport her biological war veteran son on a random train to nowhere.
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
