10 DC Characters That Need Their Own HBO Max Series

Disney+ is doing something different with She-Hulk. Instead of making it a full to the brim action series, Marvel have decided to make their series a legal comedy. DC should follow suit because a comedy series could be just what a DC character needs and there is no one more suited for slapstick than the Man of Plastic.

Created by Jack Cole, Eel O’Brian is a special character in the DC roster because he is an imperfect superhero. As a criminal in his origin story, Eel was helping carry out a heist when it went sideways and was shot in the arm. Doused in a strange chemical, he discovered that he had the ability to stretch.

DC could make his whole origin a mystery, trying to solve who Eel was working for on that fateful night and at the end of the miniseries bring the criminal to justice.

Using crime bosses such as Morgan Edge or Carmine Falcone, Plastic Man could make his audience laugh whilst changing DC’s reputation of being so dark and drab all of the time. DC is slowly shedding that perception with films like Shazam!, but bringing out a comedy series with a character that’s well suited to the genre could display the company's range and their ability to cater to all sorts of audiences.
