10 DC Characters That Need Their Own HBO Max Series
8. The Question
DC is known for their detective characters. After all, the company does stand for “Detective Comics”. However, they tend to focus on only one of their super sleuths as Batman seems to get all of the juicy cases which helps to cement the character's reputation as the World's Greatest Detective.
Considering the fact we’ve had tons of Batman films, I think a series focusing on the Dark Detective is simply out of the question. (Don't groan.) Created by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko, The Question isn’t really a superhero; the character is a full-blown detective with a zen philosophy who took on crime and corruption in Hub City, whilst also temping in cities like Metropolis and Gotham.
Giving The Question a TV show, DC would be able to hark back to their roots, developing an intense yet entertaining detective series that could rival the likes of Jessica Jones.
The Question could delve into mysteries that could help expand the DCEU, helping introduce certain characters and villains who would guest star in the series. With the sizes of mysteries varying each season, the audience would soon learn there's no case too big or too small for Vic Sage.
