10 Deaths That Would Ruin Game Of Thrones

10. The Hound

The Hound is a classic case of a character who€™s come nearly full circle since his introduction in the first season. Originally appearing as the brutish, surly bodyguard of Joffrey Baratheon, one of the most feared warriors in all of Westeros had nary a positive attribute. He was quite literally Joffrey€™s attack dog, and we hated him for doing the bidding of the sniveling little monarch. It wasn€™t until he saved Sansa Stark from certain rape at the hands of some of King€™s Landing€™s denizens did a softer side of The Hound start to creep through. It was still buried very deeply beneath the murderous exterior, but it was there nonetheless. It was that added depth that made viewers realize there was more to Sandor Clegane than we initially realized. Turning his back on the Iron Throne and abandoning the Kingsguard during the Battle of the Blackwater, The Hound offered to take Sansa away from the castle where she would be safe from Joffrey€™s grasp, but not convinced he was trustworthy (and understandably so), Sansa refused. At our current mark in season, Clegane and Sansa€™s sister Arya have forged a reluctant, unlikely bond (one neither will admit to) and have become one of the most entertaining threads in the show. Their relationship has brought forth even more of Sandor€™s soft side and it€™s been fun to watch. He€™s done a complete 180 in the eyes of most viewers and has given us some of the season€™s most memorable moments (€œI€™m going to have to eat every f*ckin€™ chicken in this room€) and The Hound being put down would be a real loss for the show.
