10 Embarrassingly Awful TV Roles Taken By Hollywood Stars

3. Andrew Garfield €“ Frank, Doctor Who

Andrew Garfield Embarrasing Andrew Garfield was creeping around the sewers of New York long before he was wearing a skintight Spidey suit - an episode of Doctor Who saw him searching for Daleks alongside David Tennant's Doctor beneath Depression-era Manhattan, for some reason. Now, you might think that Doctor Who is a credible TV show, having provided an exciting sci-fi element for the BBC for decades. You'd be wrong, but you're certainly not alone, and may wonder why this warrants an entry on the list. Well, if you listen to Garfield when he opens his mouth, you'll have your answer! His corny southern accent is just rubbish, especially for someone who was born in the US. He actually sounds a little bit like Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes, if Rick Grimes had a mouthful of syrup. The makeup on the show also meets Doctor Who's usual low standards, with the masks worn by the 'Pig Slaves' looking cheap and more hilarious than realistic. One guy asks The Doctor "is that some kind of carnival mask", with David Tennant somehow keeping a straight face as he replies "no it's real".
