10 Game Of Thrones Characters You Really Wanted To Survive
8. Karsi
Season five of Game of Thrones was when the cracks in the writing started to show. Arya had her plot line all but sunk in Braavos, and after the death of Oberyn the remaining Dornish characters proceeded to do absolutely nothing, before fading into plot obscurity.
But the show still had plenty going for it. Dany's struggles with the political and social climate in Meereen was engaging stuff, and at the Wall things were really ramping up. It all came to a head during the 8th episode, Hardhome. The fight was less than a battle and more an all out rout, this was the first time we saw how desperate the struggle against the undead was. As the mist rolled over the cliffs and towards the wilding settlement, the dread set in.
As Jon Snow tried to pursued the Wildlings to evacuate, viewers were introduced to the Wildling, Karsi. She was granted just enough screen time to get viewers invested. She had the same brazen confidence as Ygritte, and could hold her own against the more unreasonable Wildlings. We even saw the hints of affection brewing between her and Jon Snow. Was this a new love interest for the Lord Commander? No. Karsi was savaged by a group of killer, undead children, not even lasting the length of the episode before she was brutally offed.
