Whether it's through cloning, an alternate reality or timeline, a robotic double or something else, there have been countless instances of alternative versions of characters. Such characters have appeared in fantasy shows, sci-fi shows, comedy shows and both live action and animated shows - some being canon and some being part of one-off specials that aren't part of the actual continuity of the show in question. Honourable Mention: Puppet Angel (Angel)

Smile-Time-puppet-angel-24464706-1280-720 This doesn't get a place on the actual list because it wasn't actually an alternate version of Angel - it was just the real Angel under a mystical enchantment that temporarily turned him in to a puppet. It was one of the more memorable parts of the show's final season and is best remembered for Spike's reaction to seeing Angel looking like a character from Sesame Street.
