10 Great Horror TV Shows You Can Binge-Watch In One Sitting
4. Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From The Stories Of Stephen King
Stephen King shows up again on this list, and for a good reason. There have been numerous King adaptations over the years, and not all of them have been so flattering. However, if one show captured them perfectly, it was Nightmare & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King.
The master of horror paperbacks might have enough material to fill a century's worth of viewing. Still, the tales of Nightmares & Dreamscapes were chosen amongst all others for this TV horror anthology. Rather than continuously put a fresh coat of paint on classic tales such as Carrie or The Shining, Nightmares & Dreamscapes focused on short stories that the average viewer might have never seen before.
The series started strong, too, by plopping an absurdly dark tale called Battleground at the forefront. To give you a sense of what lengths these short stories went to, in Battleground, a man murdered a toymaker and was soon tormented by a troop of toy soldiers. Stranger still, there was no dialogue throughout the tale, and the episode relied entirely on visuals to deliver a story to the viewers. There are more realistic (and human) tales within Nightmares & Dreamscapes, but prepare to travel to some dark places you never imagined possible.
