10 Great Horror TV Shows You Can Binge-Watch In One Sitting
3. Black Mirror
Borrowing several tropes from shows like Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone, Black Mirror centered around dystopian nightmares and used future technologies to tackle various social issues. While it sometimes explored all of the tremendous potentials behind futuristic gizmos, it truly zeroed in on all of the dastardly deeds gadgets could commit, especially if powerful tech got into the wrong hands.
The show originally aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom from 2011 to 2013 and found a home on Netflix in 2015. The streaming platform offered the original two seasons and gave Black Mirror a second life with three more seasons, for a total of 22 episodes, if you count the interactive film Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.
Although the writing in season four of Black Mirror gets a little wishy-washy, the show is a must-see for anyone who enjoys a nice blend of science-fiction and horror. If that's not enough, the series received high praise from both the viewers at home and hoity-toity critics alike, managing to snag a Best TV Movie/Miniseries Award at the International Emmys along the way.
