10 Great TV Shows Starring The Doctor Who Cast

7. Samuel Anderson - Trollied

Nomi Amanita Sense8
Sky One

Despite running for a whole seven seasons, Trollied is one that went under a lot of people's radars. It wasn't the most groundbreaking sitcom in the world, but its focus on bringing comedy to a truly familiar place - a British supermarket - was a noble and endearing concept.

Trollied took place in a fictional supermarket called Valco. It told the story of the staff's troubles managing customers and their work in general and was full of struggling managers, naïve trolley boys and crude butchers.

This was a series that knew what it was. Anyone with retail experience could relate to it and feel warmed by the generally wholesome presentation. It was a perfectly cheesy and light-hearted show, making it a delight to watch, even if the comedy didn't always land.

Anderson (otherwise known as Danny Pink) popped along in season four as Valco's new deputy manager. In the role of Daniel, he was a stern yet likeable figure who featured in two romance storylines, one of which was with series mainstay, Katie.
