10 Greatest Disney Channel Original Movies

3. Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century

Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century was unabashedly awesome, and for a network that had a tendency to stay grounded and focus on the day to day happenings of regular kids (well, at this point in time anyway), this marked a major creative departure that paid off.

She was a girl who had spent her entire young life on a space station that orbited Earth, until her penchant for attracting trouble got her grounded...literally. (Yes, that is a joke they make in the movie.)

Sent down to Earth to live with her quirky aunt, she has to adjust to some serious culture shock, all while working together with her new friends on the surface to prevent a plot that will bring down the space station and kill everyone on board. So like...the stakes are high.

Other positive notes in the film include Raven-Symone as Nebula, Zenon's best friend, the always adorable Gregory Smith, and their super dope futuristic outfits.
