10 Greatest Ever Anime Villains

2. Yoshikage Kira (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

You heard it from the rest of the internet, now you're hearing it from me. Yoshikage Kira is the best villain ever created by one of the undisputed masters of anime villains. But why is he here instead of the almighty meme lord himself, Dio?

Well Kira being part of one of JoJo's best eras certainly has something to do with it. But even barring that, Kira is just more frightening a concept than Dio. More than anything else, Kira is obsessed with anonymity, leading a bizarre plastic existence where he values - above all - not being the center of attention. To the point where he kills people just to stay out of sight, and makes sure he's off center in every photo he's in so that he isn't the center of attention.

Long before Josuke and the gang even know about him, you can see him in the background, never being pointed out or noticed. And even when he IS exposed, nothing can stop him. With his ability to trap people in a time loop where they're killed over and over again, he can evade capture and perfect eliminate any threats to his sanctified anonymity with ease.

In the end, it takes an entire city coming together and dog-piling this bastard just to take him down. Kira, when all was said and done, really did fail more than he knows. Because there's no way in hell that we're ever forgetting him.
