10 Greatest Star Trek Callbacks

Captain Lorca kept a collection of several rare and valuable items aboard Discovery, along with a pet tribble that could be seen in his ready room in several episodes of the first season. Some fans were annoyed that the tribble wasn't causing an infestation like we've seen in other encounters with them, but we later learned, in the Short Treks episode The Trouble With Edward, that tribbles actually bred pretty slow before Edward got involved with their genome. Back then, they were completely harmless.

Strangely, after Lorca was defeated and left Discovery, his tribble stopped appearing and we were left wondering what happened to his fuzzy friend.

Over three years later, we finally caught a short glimpse of the tribble roaming the halls of the ship in the fourth season episode, Kobayashi Maru. Appearently, Lorca's pet remained aboard the ship after he left, and now wanders throughout Discovery freely. It's unclear whether the crew are still taking care of the tribble, or if it's simply been scavenging food on it's own all this time.
