Now, admittedly Ash Vs The Evil Dead is a little funnier than most of the shows featured on this list, but make no mistake—like Spiderman helmer Sam Raimi’s trilogy from which this show is spun off, there’s no shortage of terrifying Deadite attacks in this gory, darkly comic series.
Following the exploits of Bruce Campbell’s iconic, if now a little aged and still dim-witted, hero Ash, the show doesn’t stint on both scares and gore, with Raimi himself returning to produce and direct the show’s pilot.
Well worth a watch for horror comedy fans, this one will leave you keeping the lights on—when you’re not reaching for a chainsaw.
