10 Huge Questions Still Surrounding Loki On Disney+

7. Who Is Richard E. Grant Playing?

Naturally, the trailer for Loki focused on the titular character more so than anyone else, but there was also a glimpse of Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw's character, who appears to be also connected to the TVA in some way.

One confirmed cast member not shown however, was Richard E. Grant, leaving fans just as in the dark about his casting as before. The Logan and Star Wars actor is one of the most recognisable names on the Loki cast list, so naturally there is intrigue surrounding who he will actually be playing.

One theory suggests that travelling through different universes and timelines will see Loki come face to face with different versions of himself, and that Grant will be portraying an older Loki, something possibly reminiscent of Leonard Nimoy's Spock in J.J Abrams' Star Trek.

Just going on appearance alone, Grant would make for a convincing older Hiddleston, and he has proven on numerous occasions that he can portray a wonderful villain, as any version of Loki could be expected to be. If this is the case, it would certainly make sense why Marvel have yet to confirm his character, but at this stage the actor could be playing just about anybody.
