10 Hyped 2020 TV Shows ALREADY Cancelled
4. Triangle
Pitched as "the new Lost", Triangle would have attempted to harness the mix of stranded-on-an-island survival story and supernatural weirdness that made the 2000s phenomenon such a hit.
Under The Dome's Mike Vogel was cast as a man with a difficult past seeking to begin a new life with his family. That is before they are shipwrecked in the mysterious Bermuda Triangle, the legendary patch of the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda, Puerto Rico and Florida, which is the source of hundreds of conspiracy theories.
In this version of the Triangle, it transpires that all the various wrecks and disappeared ships and aircrafts from a huge range of different time periods have all been sucked into one mysterious land. Vogel's David Roman and family would need to unite with an ensemble cast of different factions of survivors from different times to try and make it home.
Overseen by Designated Survivor writer Jon Harmon Feldman, who has past form with urban legend locales having written for Roswell and Salem, a pilot was shot in New Zealand for ABC, the network behind the actual Lost.
ABC passed on Triangle in September, however, citing the high cost of overseas location filming and visual effects.
