10 INSANE TV Cameos You've Never Seen

3. Timothée Chalamet - We Are Who We Are

Given that Timothée Chalamet is one of the most prominent young actors working today, it doesn't seem possible that he could just... blend into the scenery, right?

Except, that's quite literally what he did on 2020's coming-of-age drama series We Are Who We Are.

In the third episode of the show, co-created by Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino, Chalamet plays a scarcely visible background artist roughly half-way through the episode.

When Richard (Scott Mescudi) is doing some ironing, behind him a young man can be seen walking past his window, and while it's virtually impossible to tell, that is indeed Timothée Chalamet.

As for why he had such an hilariously throwaway appearance? Guadagnino rationalised it quite simply, telling TV Guide, "I ask it of all of my friends: 'Put something on and be in front of the camera.'"

Chalamet's Call Me by Your Name co-star Armie Hammer also makes a cameo in a later episode, but probably the less said about that, the better.
