10 Majorly Hyped TV Series That Disappointed Us
4. Loki
It's time to talk about Disney+, as they've worked really, really hard to convince you to subscribe. The house of mouse are milking all of their properties for series, and the MCU is no exception.
After WandaVision was well-received and Falcon & The Winter Soldier was, well, received, they went full in on Loki. Seeing a series based around the God of Mischief was exciting but also concerning. The character's story in the MCU had ended with a nice little cherry on top, so tampering with that was a risk. But, when a character is popular, they can't just end peacefully.
Loki, as a series, is alright. There's fun to be had with it, and it's always nice to see Hiddleston's performance as The Avengers first baddie. But, Loki simply doesn't work as a heroic leading character, so he ended up feeling contorted and forced into a role he didn't fit. Just because he's popular, doesn't mean he should be a protagonist.
Alongside this, the majority of the show was spent talking, and whenever it wasn't talking, it was partaking in some of the worst fight choreography viewers have seen in the MCU. The sun did not shine brightly on this one.
